We are a non-profit organisation focused on providing free or affordable leadership credentials. With a deep understanding of Africa and a commitment to its development, we concentrate our efforts in African regions where educational systems often face significant challenges. Our mission is to bridge these gaps by offering high-quality leadership development programmes that would otherwise be costly to deliver. Central to our approach is volunteering, which lies at the core of our business model. Through the dedication of our volunteers, we can provide accessible leadership training that empowers individuals and communities across Africa.

Our approach is practice-oriented, rather than theoretical, and centred on empowering candidates to take charge of their own learning processes. Candidates for credential awards complete activities that build real-world skills and offer insights into leadership. Volunteers, working as tutors offer guidance and challenge to ensure candidates develop skills that are at a high level and grow their leadership. Volunteers dedicate about 15 hours over three months.

By working with volunteers, who are experienced leaders and academics, we can offer high-quality leadership development opportunities to people who typically cannot afford such training. In this way, we contribute to addressing Africa’s leadership and skills challenges, raising the standard of training, and transforming events such as workshops and conferences into meaningful learning experiences.

In short, volunteering is not just a part of our work—it is the core of how we deliver impactful, accessible leadership credentials where they are needed most. Volunteering is a rewarding way to make a real difference while supporting causes you care about, developing new skills, meeting like-minded people, and enhancing your credentials. You can grow personally by learning new things, stepping out of your comfort zone, and building confidence in new areas. We recognise volunteers with the Volunteering Practice Credential, a specialist credential under the Social Value practice area.
